Is anyone else having huge problems with WeMO integration?

Any updates on this? I’m thinking of just returning my wemo’s as they are just way too unpredictable if they will work or not. It’s a shame as they work fantastically with the Wemo app.

I’ll give the Lutron Decora Z-wave plugin a shot as I’ve been having good luck with their switches and dimmers.

I noticed on the smartthings compatible devices there has been language added for Belkin, Sonos, and Phillips hue that wasn’t there until recently…They put all but 1 Belkin product under this heading. I wonder if this means they will no longer support Belkin. This was one of the reasons that I bought smartthings for my parents and my self was due to their integration with Wemo since we both already had a significant investment in Wemo products.

“SmartThings Labs
Our community of customers have found that the following devices may be compatible. However, they have not yet been certified by SmartThings and we are unable to provide support for these devices.”

If you go down to the bottom of the page you will see that there is now a separate section for devices supported by ST Labs. Also WeMo help is coming, so don’t despair!

In the description of the ST labs it states that the devices are not certified by SmartThings and they are unable to support them. What kind of WeMo help is coming?

About a month and a half ago support told me they were working on something and they were a few weeks away from making it work. However, since then they have added that language that they are unable to provide support for those ST Labs which makes me wonder if that project was scratched from last month.

Sorry I can’t give you any additional info on this, but it is in the works and not forgotten.

Any info yet? If would be great to be able to connect my WeMo devices and depend on the smartthings integration.

Sorry to say it is still in testing and as far as I know it looks good. They just don’t want to release something that is unpredictable. But I can help with one thing, I found if you go into your ST app and go to smart apps and open the wemo connect app and just click done, it seems to refresh the connection and it works for a good while. Also I have found that the WeMo app itself works better with ST if you open it every few days and click the refresh button on the top. I have found do to having a internet blip that WeMo itself looses connection to the devices and the router must be reset. This has happened to my GE and my Lutron devices.

Any updates on this? I was using a wemo with echo perfectly for about a year. Then installed ST a couple weeks ago. Everything worked great. Wemo worked on a ST schedule, worked with presence detected through st to come on when we get home. Then, last night it stops working correctly. ST reported incorrect state and the st app would not update nor would SmartTiles. Neither would turn the light off. Until I did what @joelw135 suggested. The status is updated and light working from all apps.
On a side note, lost ability to control my Cree bulb last night too. And have had no luck getting it reconnected. Is all this a coincidence?

SmartThings is having a network problem. ST Status

Thank you @joelw135. Being new at this game, I am learning fast. Just learned another new trick from you today. Can I assume that this is/was the problem with my Cree bulb as well?
I have a couple questions if I could get some clarification from you. I thought the updating of the state of a device was local? In my case, all the devices and the apps used to control/monitor the devices/st hub are on the same network. I assumed that when I turn a switch off using my tablet(whether in the ST app, Smarttools, or Smarttiles) or use Echo, it would all be handled locally. Obviously if I am at work and use my phone to turn the light off its going through the ST Cloud. If you know of a link to a good read, I’d be happy to read it. Reading through the ST documentation is a mixed bag of info. Reading a few posts here, it would seem it depends on the device in question. Any thoughts?
Thanks
