Some devices spotted in England (from Reddit)

Looked in IKEA Belfast today, no sign of the new matter over thread devices yet. They seem to have quite a supply of the existing zigbee stuff so maybe they are waiting to clear that first, might take a while.

I returned the KAJPLATS I bought and brought more buttons  Thread reception wasn’t very good so it would go offline (a Nanoleaf in the same lamp has been working fine) and the only good colour temperature was 2700 K, the others had weird tints.

Do any of you know if the ikea zigby bulbs pair directly to the smartthings hub? I’m looking at the e12 bulb, and I don’t know if we’ll or will not?

They should work out of the box.

Now also in Finland the first devices on Ikea shelve.

No devices on local IKEA website

The temperature and humidity meters were already almost sold out.
The seller wondered how customers knew to come and buy them.

Edit:
First device on local IKEA website

I made an impulse purchase while visiting Ikea. I bought a Timmerflotte temperature and humidity sensor.

Installation was easy. As soon as I got the Timmerflotte batteries in place and opened the ST app, the ST app asked if I wanted to add the device.

During installation, I had to scan the QR code on the back of the device and after a while the device was installed. The ST App immediately asked if the firmware should be updated. After about ten minutes, the latest firmware was installed.

I was surprised that the firmware update was successful without the Ikea Hub.

Updates temperature and humidity measurement values every 5 minutes.

From manual:

Sensor: Sensirion SHT40
MCU: Silicon Labs EFR32MG24

I was in IKEA Belfast today. Of new M/T devices Only MYGGSPRAY was in stock. I bought one.

On-boarding the myggspray wasn’t entirely seamless for me. St detected the device when batteries were added. But then I got this, asking which thread network i wanted to add device to, i only have one.
When I selected the only option it asked me for a 32 character network key, which I wasn’t expecting

I then looked at my hubwith the advanced web ui and saw this message. Something clearly made the hub unhappy.
So i rebooted hub and tried again, this time no requests about network choice or network key. All quite odd.

Brief testing of device beside a tradfri motion sensor suggests slightly faster detection and a dwell time of about 20 seconds vs 180 seconds for the tradfri.

I bought me a MYGGSPRAY yesterday, and it worked as seamlessly as you can imagine for me.

I put batteries in, and immediately got a pop-up message on my Smartphone that it has been detected by SmartThings, followed by a message from Alexa that it has been detected there too.

Added it to SmartThings, security picked it up as a motion sensor and let me add it to the list of intruder detection devices. The device page has battery status, ambient brightness, and motion detect.
Alexa sees the device forwarded by SmartThings, and just reads motion. (Native Alexa-Matter binding not attempted.)

Motion detect range appears good enough for my hallway even though I just hung it on a random nail on the wall; once it’s up on the ceiling it’ll be even better.

This thing is definitely a steal for 7,99€. I hope this brings other people’s Matter gadget prices down a bit too.

I did intend to buy their new E14 Matter bulb too, but these weren’t in stock yet. The E27 stuff was.

So where did I spot them? IKEA in Augsburg, Germany. They had the full range of new Matter stuff, except about half of the lightbulb types weren’t in stock yet.

How is the reaction time on it (MYGGSPRAY), satisfied with it so far? Wondering if I should grab the bicycle and go to Ikea Copenhagen where they are in stock.
