I can’t really tell the reaction time, for the lamp it acts on is a (Tuya) cloud device, so there is an inherent delay. But even in that setup it’s quick enough to let you enter the room and proceed.
I have a bridged Tapo T100 and compared to that the MYGGSPRAY is slow. The original idea was replacing it but the luminosity sensor is not that useful and the sensitivity / reaction time was clearly worse. Plus, sometimes it just won’t report motion. As any other new devices it needs a firmware update to fix issues.
I just got purchsed the e12 bulbs, but they are zignee & not matter & it took a few minutes to get them paired. I like the bulbs becasue of the edison look but they are not as bright as I hoped. Im keeping the bulbs & hopefully soon someone comes out with a better bulb. I had bo issues setting up the new 2 button remote & water leak as sensor.
I have the new motion a sensor & here’s my question, how to u angle it downwards a bit if im putting it towards the top of the ceiling?
I also have the new air quality sensor but just figuring what room will i put it in.
On a side.note, are any of you using the ikea air purifier but directly paired to smartthings?
I replaced a tradfri motion sensor with a myggspray, the myggspray is a bit faster to react
Got on the bicycle and got the ALPSUGA instead, to monitor air in my studio/developer-cave (so far). Not going great, but installation was flawless
Can read values on it’s display at least for now. Routine capabilities seems nice, once it actually works. It requires power from a usb-c connector.
Manual does say “It may take up to 12 hours for an accurate CO₂ level reading”, buuut I have my doubts.
The device reports all values within seconds after connecting. CO2 might not be absolutely correct in the first 12 hours, because the sensor uses the temperature and humidity to calibrate.
Ok thanks for info, I used the change to different driver option (Android user) and set it to “Matter switch”, and then changed the driver back to “Matter sensor” again, and now it works. Guess removing and re-adding might have had the same effect.
I had exactly the same issue.
Also annoying that you need to switch the driver to deactivate the display.
Also time sync does not seem to work (yet).
It’s because the device has an OnOff cluster that is not supported in the Matter Sensor driver. Funnily enough, the Matter Switch driver supports humidity and temperature clusters. These were added because of the Aqara W100.
A bit of a discussion here:
Tagging @mocelet and @h0ckeysk8er for the lulz.
In my opinion, it would have been better to have one (massive) Matter driver…
Anyone using the myggspray lux levels? I’m not at the moment, but I’m thinking the variance in values isn’t what I’d imagine. In the two days I’ve had it it’s gone from 0 lux to only 11 lux. Sensor is in a hallway, not the brightest spot in the house but not the darkest either. I know it’s winter, but I thought I’d have seen something higher than 11 lux? ![]()
The lux meter is quite useless indeed
Do you have a flashlight?
For the craic I tried shining a flashlight on the sensor. The reading went up to around 1100 lux. So it does read higher.
Mine actually synced time the very first time, where only the general air quality message was working, but after doing the driver switch “trick” everything was working, expect now I had to set the time manually using the buttons on the bottom of device (if someone new reads this).
A small review is that it is actually nice to have new metrics in my work (from home) room, and when working for hours without any windows open, it’s nice to get an indicator that CO2 levels have reached 1000, then opening a window slightly (cold weather) will get the level down again (need to automate that window I guess). Of course the smaller the room the faster the CO2 levels gonna raise if anyone is in the room. Think I’ll probably get one for bedroom, or move sensor there temporary to potentially optimize for better sleeping. For example check what effect leaving the bedroom door open, or slightly open (to inside and/or outside), has on CO2 levels during night (you can see a graph over time in SmartThings).
Quite a range of matter IKEA devices in Belfast today. Almost everything except the air quality sensors and the colour bulbs.
I acquired a timmerflotte , a few bilresa ,a klippbok and a myggbett
Bought an IKEA ALPSTUGA air quality sensor for 40 € two weeks ago and another one for 30 € one week ago.
After running 2 myggbett motion sensors for a week or so now my experience so far is quite positive. Better in both range and detection speed than the IKEA tradfri motion sensor, and another tuya motion sensor I was using.
Are they useful, and are the air quality readings accurate and useful.
I might consider getting one as a reminder to ventilate the room when air quality level drops.
