Just got an email saying limit on free accounts being dropped from 4 to 2 applets starting 5/23. I get the need to pay to keep the lights on, but 5 days notice is really crummy. I had just finished shoe horning my solution in from the Groovy shutdown. Time for a quick hunt to solution either Ecobee or Blink. . . without having Alexa announce verbally every interaction with the service. Or maybe I break down and stick a dot in the garage where nobody can hear it.
I was using their paid service, and couldn’t figure out why, insofar as once smart things and Google home routines got decent in the last few years I didn’t need it anymore.
