Hub Firmware Release Notes - 17.12/17.13/17.14

My hub is still on 17.11 … is this a bad thing? Did I miss a firmware upgrade?

Nope, you’re good. There were improvements in the update process as we added more people to 17.11, and then to 17.12-17.14, but no new changes in the actual running system. We’ll be bringing everyone back onto the same version with the next release.

I know that the different versions have caused a lot of confusion and I apologize for that.

@nastevens Cool! Thanks for letting me know.

Do you have any planned date for the release of 18.X?
Or, do you have any approximate date (e.g. within the next 3 months, etc.)

18.x is in limited customer beta right now and we are reviewing reported issues. We don’t have an exact date and will be keeping things fluid until we decide that the release is sufficiently stable for a general release. That being said, I think it is fair to expect a release in the next month or so. We will, of course, send out mailings in advance of that.

Here’s the thread on 18.x with preliminary release notes and some issue reports (some things relating to firmware, some noise).

@Duncan here’s a new one I’m seeing with a Schlage BE469NX CEN lock in the raw description

zw:L type:4003 cc:22,72,7A,98,86

It’s missing an ENTIRE section, (mfr, prod etc). The MSR however is showing up but it’s mfr value is 01A4. It should be 003B (Schlage). What do you think is going on here?

Is that a v1 hub? That looks like what I’d expect if a v1 hub didn’t get the MSR in time

I have been seeing some very strange behavior with my Schlage 599 locks lately. I have 2 of them and both suffer from the mfr:0000 prod:0000 model:0000 error but one of them is now passing unlock events properly. The kitchen door that is working properly shows info in the Data section of the API device page while the basement door which doesn’t report unlock events says “No data found for device” in the Data section.

Kitchen Door
Data MSR: 003B-634B-504C
Raw Description zw:Fs type:4003 mfr:0000 prod:0000 model:0000 ver:43.37 zwv:2.64 lib:06 cc:85,73,72,98 sec:62,63,80,71,70,86,20

Basement Door
Data No data found for device
Raw Description zw:Fs type:4003 mfr:0000 prod:0000 model:0000 ver:43.37 zwv:2.64 lib:06 cc:85,73,72,98 sec:62,63,80,71,70,86,20

I have attempted to exclude, factory reset and re-add the basement lock about 15 different times using about 5 different ways and have not had any luck getting it to show anything in the Data section. I have been accepted into the hub firmware 18 beta group but have not been updated yet. So I am hoping that the Schlage lock fix in that release will correct my issues.

Yes it does I think you also replied my post on the 18.x thread. It affects a lots of locks not just Schlage.
