How to disable Multipurpose sensor

I keep Sabbath and I want to know if there’s a way to disable the Multipurpose sensor for Sabbath.

I would suggest you make a mode called “sabbath” in the ide and set all your automations to not run in this mode.

I’m talking about disabling the open/closed sensor on the Multipurpose sensor.

You can’t “disable” a sensor from sending reports unless you remove the batteries. You can disable the automations via a mode.

I would imagine that you might be able to keep the contact closed by judicious positioning of a magnet. I can’t offer any practical details.
