Nuki Smartlock v4 working fine with matter enabled
Smartthings Hub v3 “Connected” to the home network
Samsung S23 connected to the home network
Nuki App with the smartlock added and configured
Samsung S23 with the Smartthings app working and Hub working
HOW IN THE H0LLY H3LL DO I ADD THE LOCK TO SMARTTHINGS?
If I go to Nuki app - Lock - Settings - Setup - SmartHome - Matter - Add new system
and I choose smartthings
it does open smartthings awaiting me to scan a QR that DOES NOT EXIST but that I can type manually. ONCE I type it, it stays in a screen where it reads “Get your device ready”, no matter if I enable pairing mode in the Smartlock or not, I just can’t add it. It won’t go past that point!
If instead I go to
Google Home app
tap on the SmartLock (which works fine from there)
tap settings
tap Matter
tap Link app and services (0)
tap Smartthings
it goes straight to “Get your device ready” and the waiting starts again.
What do you mean? Where does the code come from that you’re typing in manually?
The Nuki app puts the device into pairing mode and the QR code is the one on a card in the box. There’s also a tiny Matter QR code printed on the device itself.
I cant find the box, so my only reference is the smart lock. In the rear theres a tiny QR which is invalid when presented to the QR reader and a matter sticker with all the digits with manual input.
BEsides google home, which controls the whole house, i need to pair it with smartthings so I can use the new NFC pad with it, as the NFC only works with Smartthings hub, not with Google Home hub.
You can safely add it back to Google, ST App, Lock, settings, share with other services, qr codes, copy code, open google home, +, device, scan qr code, setup with matter pairing code, enter matter pairing code, next, follow prompts.
Upon entering “Share with other services” I’m never presented with any QR code, just an invitation to open any other “matter” app… but anyhow,it worked too.
