How do you remove a non-functional Z-Wave switch when you cannot set it into exclusion mode? I tried deleting from the device tile but it spins as processing and then closes. I’m on Android and I tried for stopping the app and clearing the cache
try API Browser+
Thanks @jkp. I forgot about that feature.
I have the same problem. My Z wave module will no longer connect to smartthings and I need to delete it and try again.
can someone tell me what to do please.
Your z-wave device will require that it be excluded before you can add it back to ST. If you tap on the ST hub tile in the app, then tap on the 3 dots, select Settings and choose z-wave utilities. You should bring the device very close to the hub. If it excludes, you should be able to add it back.
Having said that…
You may want to examine why the z-wave device is no longer connected. I recommend starting a new thread and post the brand/model of the device, define exactly what “will no longer connect” means and the model of hub you have. Use API Browser to get mote details on the device by selecting the device and tapping on details. It may simple require a different Edge driver if it was migrating or it could require excluding/adding back. Also check all your devices to ensure they are working.
start a new thread… provide more details and community members will assist.
