Help Needed With IDE

I’m trying to update WebCore in the IDE. I’ve logged in using my Samsung Account and now I can’t see any SmartApps!!! It says I have none installed!

If I go to Location and the select Home and then SmartApps I see them there - they all have update next to them but when I click on update nothing happens!

I suspect this might be because I’ve logged in via my Samsung Account rather than my Smartthings Account - could that be the reason? I can’t remember my password but the reset password doesn’t send out a reset e-mail!

This is so frustrating.

Thanks in advance,

Rich Nicholls

Do you login to IDE at https://account.smartthings.com

And what account do you use to login to the ST app with? They both use the same account

To be honest, I’m not sure which account I’m logging in with on the App on my phone. It says that I’m using the same account as the one I’m using on the PC to log into the IDE which is the Samsung one.

However, I think I used to log in using my Smartthings Account and not my Samsung one.

I can’t remember my stupid password for the Smartthing Account and the password reset e-mail isn’t being sent out!

Yep, I’m logging in using that link.

I can see all the SmartApps in the Installed SmartApps tab in My Locations - but I can’t do anything with them (update them).

Only one location in that list? And if you click on home under locations, then click on my SmartApps in the menu, does anything appear.

If I select My Locations I see Home twice for some reason.

The first instance of that I can see the Installed SmartApps under the My Locations menu. But not under the My SmartApps menu.

Try to delete the empty location…

In order to delete a Home Location that has nothing in it:

  • Login to IDE at https://account.smartthings.com
  • Goto Locations
  • If you have multiple Locations, select the invalid one
  • Make sure there is no Hub associated to it
  • Scroll to the right and click Edit
  • If the Default Location shows “true” (will be read only)
  • If it is “true”, go back to Locations and select your primary (Real) location and set the default location to “true”
  • Now you can edit/delete the additional Home location as it will automatically be set to “false”.

Oh dear - they’re both showing true!

Yes, follow the instructions above

Grey’d out field. I can’t edit it.

I think I see the issue. I’m logged in under the wrong account.

How long should the password reset e-mail take to arrive? I’ve been waiting over an hour now.

Ok, this is the point where you need to contact ST support at https://support.smartthings.com and see if they can resolve it.

Thanks for trying. I’ve sent them an e-mail.

I am almost certain you have migrated to a Samsung account. So trying to reset a password on your old ST account will no longer work since that account is dead.

Don’t expect a quick response - SORRY!
