Okay, thanks – I appreciate the info (I’m off to set it up. It turns out to be MUCH cheaper for me than just the hub alone, plus it comes with a remote).

Isn’t the difference between the hubs the number of home entertainment devices it will control? Or is that the Ultimate? Is the hub that comes with the smart control the same as the hub that comes with the ultimate?

Not really, any of the touchscreen remotes will give you 15 devices. The hub by itself or with a non-touchscreen remote will get u 8 devices.

The hubs become the same once they receive the latest firmware update.

One last question since you know what you’re talking about. Can I add an ultimate remote to this hub? The touch? Not the One. I believe that is not the one everyone wants.

You can add any of the ones listed here, that are a touch remote.

Basically every hub can have 1 touch remote, 1 non touch remote and 1 keyboard

Not sure if this is this right place for this.

I bought a second used Harmony Hub on eBay last week. It’s the same model number as my existing hub (O-R0004) except it says “Logitech” instead of “Harmony” on the case and it’s asking me to put the remote in the cradle at setup. Setup won’t let me get passed this step.

Obviously this was part of one of their bundles but am I out of luck using the hub as a standalone? Anyone know how to get passed this step in setup?

@JDRoberts you seem to be the resident expert on Harmony. Do you know if it’s possible to unbundle a Harmony Hub from one of the other logitech remote bundles?

Sorry, I don’t know. I’d ask Logitech support.

For anyone interested, you need to unpair the hub from the remote in situations like these by connecting to a computer via usb and using the MyHarmony app.

Agreed consensus resident expert @JDRoberts!
I 'thought" in my reviews of the various Harmony products - the “Elite” was the “best suited” meaning the MAX potential for a robust integration with ST - but then questioned if the Ultimate was ?

Can anyone speak to which is the best product version to have the most abilities with a ST integration!
