Harmony hub controlling a fibaro 2 dimmer not turning lights on

Tried to do this different ways, I am able to switch the light off, but I cannot adjust brightness and turn the light on.

Switching a power outlet on and off works like a charm through the Harmony.

I get three lines in logging that I hope somebody would help me out debugging to see if you can get anything out of this info.

Same here. I have two harmony hubs. One one I have a GE dimmer switch, on the other I have 2 GE dimmer switches and one GE standard switch.

ALL of the dimmers no longer work. I can turn them on manually (or using Alexa) but I can’t turn them on with the Harmony remote. I can turn them off with the remote. So I know they are assigned.

I tried deleting and reassigning one of them but it still will not turn on or control dimming anymore. I can only turn them off.

The standard switch works with both on and off. So somethings is screwy with Harmony/ST integrations with dimmers.

When I press the Harmony ON button for a dimmer the following is displayed in the live log.

It has to do with Harmony Integration because like I said Alexa still working. One of my hubs upgraded but I didn’t let the other one upgrade so I still suspect ST changed something and screwed this up.

The log for the standard switch which still works looks similar.

Good point, Il try via my Alexa tonight also. Have a connecton directly to HUE from Harmony, and dont realy want to make a mesh harmony - HUE - ST to test this, tend to get messy.

I tried pulling “Dimmer Switch” code out of my SmartThings fork which hasn’t been updated in a while to see if perhaps they had changed the device handler. I named it “Dimmer Switch Original Version” and published to me but it works the same. So I don’t think the issue is the device code.

I also added debug code to “on” and “off” methods. On is not called for short press, Off is getting called for long press. So the harmony mapping to “on” seems to be the issue.

It seems the “Logitech Harmony (Connect)” smart app isn’t mapping the on command to the on method in the device.

New Logitech firmware is having trouble with all dimmer types. ST has acknowledged the issue and is working on it.

Great, where have they acknowledged this ? I didn’t get an email to my subscriptions for outage notices. And nothing here http://status.smartthings.com/

I opened a ticket. There is another thread about this. Logitech Harmony firmware upgrade broke it, so I don’t think we can fault ST for this one.

Thanks a lot for updates.
Saves me long evenings debugging.

My hub isn’t working and I didn’t let it upgrade. My version is 4.9.40 so I think the claim that the 4.10.30 firmware caused this is incorrect. I will post this on the 4.10.30 thread so ST knows it may not be the firmware.

I have a Zwave lamp module that I can turn off from Harmony but not on or dim! Worked fine until recently and still works completely using ST. Since ST still works my initial diagnosis of a bad lamp module is a no go!!

They are reporting this over at Harmony site also so it is being worked on.

They say they will post to this thread when they resolve it.

Harmony claims to have fixed this issue but when I try to update my hub it doesn’t find a new version. Has anyone else received the firmware update and is it fixed ? The last post from Harmony support says they fixed a bunch of things and it “Might have solved the issue” thats pretty lame.

Seems they have moved the thread to their new forum and the issue is not resolved according to posts. Personally I don’t think they pushed out the update because I have two hubs. My 4.10.30 hub didn’t find any update and my 4.9.40 hub is still not working as well.

No new firmware, not fixed yet seen from my point.

Works now. FW 4.10.30
