Glance Clock

I can’t see any mention of this in the forum, and I learnt of it today:

It’s a fairly nice looking wall clock with a matrix display. I thought I’d mention it as it specifically mentions ST compatibility:

Glance Clock provides you a new way to interact with and understand your home. Through your favourite smart home devices like NEST, SmartThings, Wink, Withings and many more, Glance Clock analyses energy and water consumption, smart home events and much more.

It’s interesting. It has to go through you phone through low power bluetooth, not sure how I feel about that.

I would like to see it in action.

Did anybody try this already? It’s still 150 euro, so I’m somewhat hesitant…

It appears that the only integration with smartthings is through Ifttt, and is pretty limited.

So unless you’re absolutely in love with the form factor, I think most people would go for a regular dashboard with action tiles or sharptools instead. You could present all the same information but in a way which was much easier to read. Plus it would cost less (a lot of people use a fire tablet for the hardware) and you could include camera feeds if you wanted.

So more functionality, more customizable, and less cost. Again, if you happen to be in love with the glance clock, choice is good, but I think most people would just go for a dashboard. :sunglasses:
