I tried connecting a Sinope Thermostat model TH1300ZB and the behaviour is a bit weird. Upon pairing, the devices show it’s connected but nowhere to be found in smartthings… it says no device was found.
I canceled all other zigbee hubs around (tuya and neviweb) just in case the device would have connected to another network and it just behaves the same when pairing with Smartthings, thermostat shows the “connected” icon on the device display.
Stock driver and custom mariano’s edge drivers with the right model number listed, both don’t work. So where is it being connected ? Is there a way to find out where the ghost device went?
Thanks all !
I’m having the exact problem with the Sinope TH1400ZB. It was previously connected to my SmartThings and I had to remove and re-add it and it will no longer connect. When I go through the pairing process the thermostat itself shows as connected but SmartThings doesn’t find it. It does not show up in the advanced UI either.
Hi @dlafreniere , I actually contacted Sinope last week and after testing it themselves on their own device, the support team experienced the same issue. I have a feeling it may be a Smartthings problem more than a Sinope problem… they said they would take a look into it after the holidays.
@nayelyz , since we are a few experiencing the same issue and so is the vendor, can you kindly help us setting up a priority ticket with this issue ?
Several devices of the same type used to connect before, but we can no longer pair them and get smartthings to recognize the devices
Thanks !
I had previously had a similar issue with a Stelpro Orleans Convector, and was able to work around it with these instructions. I tried something equivalent for the Sinope Thermostat, but no luck
Hi again @dlafreniere
I experienced something similar with connecting Stelpro Maestro Zigbee Thermostat (Thread here) and was later fixed, was an issue with smartthings dealing with longnames in its code.
But in recent days, on my Sinope TH1400ZB thermostat, I see the connectivity icon blinking as opposed to being displayed solid like before - I am not sure what te blinking state means, it is usually displayed as solid or nothing at all - are you experiencing the same behaviour ?
I got a little update about this issue. The internal team investigated the cause of the problem and provided those details to help Sinope resolve it.
So, we suggest you follow up with them about an ETA for the fix.
Have a great day!
