Fibaro RGBW Controller -Needing Device Handler

Hello I am a newbie here and have been working on getting a Fibaro RGBW controller to work with the LED strip. I think I got everything working , I had to create a Device Handler in the IDE in order for my ST to see it. I copied over a code from Codersaur. There are some options that are not working such as Police lights and Fireplace etc. Is there another Handler I should be using or did I do something wrong?

I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I am trying to learn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advanced.

Hello, are you on Android or iOS? I am using Android an this one worked for me:

Could of course also work for iOS.

I haven’t been able to find another one that is working, i.e. the Advanced DTH didn’t work for me at all (even after removing the defaults as mentioned in the thread) and the one on Fibaro’s website would just show an error when opening it in the SmartThings app.

Qliver,
Thx for the reply. I am using IOS. I have tried this DTH and it works but does not give me all of the options like Police lights ect.

I am currently using the code from codersaur. It still does not work but it gets me by until I someone is willing to help me.

Actually it does have “Police”, “Storm”, “Fireplace” and more. And they are working too, at least on Android.

A side note: according to Fibaro, the controllers come with different firmware versions, which can only be updated through the Fibaro hub. So different firmware versions could explain why some controllers handlers work for some users, and others not… Also there are two generations of controllers: FGRGBWM-441 and the newer FGRGBW-442. I have the first one.

Qliver,

How can I verify the exact model I have for the FGRGBW?
I do see the police lights and fireplace but it does not do anything on IOS.

I ordered 2 more controllers and they just came in. These that just showed up are indicated as RGBW Controller 2 - FGRGBW-442 ZW5 v5.0

Qliver,

I was able to find my model from the boxes that they came in and they all seem to be 442. However, I am not able to see the firmware version unless it is the v5.0 that I see in print.

Also, taking your information and searching on this site it does seem there is more discussion around 441 model than the 442. You may be on to something.

I wish someone with a 442 model would chime in for more clarity.

Well they look quite similar but the label on the back should state the exact model name.

I don’t think the same device handler works for both Android and IOS. I wasn’t able to get any of the device handlers which were said by IOS users to work, to work on my Android.

Hey I just got my FGRGBWM-442. I tried different device handler codes, but still have problems and get errors. Is there any new code for the FGRGBWM-442 available?

This device handler is working for the FGRGBWM-442 US 5.0

i have no issues

Are you using IOS or Android?

I would like to test this for IOS. My current DH has odd behaviors some times. I am using them to control my lights in the kitchen cabinets and they are not the same. I have 3 controllers

I’m using android and the new ST app.

Thanks for bringing this into account, I also tried this using Fibaro RGBW and is working correctly, no issues.

Do any of the mentioned DTHs above show all options available as shown in this screenshot ?

Yes, work fine with my fibaro rgbw 2 controller. One question about the 4 Imput. I do a test before assembly. With singurar press button 1, 2,3,4 I can change ON/OFF every single channel of color , but I Need use only one button for power on or off all the light? Is possible?
