Feature Request - Per device notification profile or choice of 'role' for the device

Apologies if this has been posted before but I didn’t see it out there. In setting up the SmartThings mobile app on 4 devices we have I found there doesn’t seem to be a way to control which devices get which push notifications - I know you can controls text notifications, but didn’t see that for push. For instance, my wife may only want to receive push notifications for an actual intrusion and not for all the other routines that run (ie. a door opens.

Another nice option would be able to select the role of the app for a specific device. For example, I may want the app on my kids smartphone to be used for only presence detection. Or I may want a tablet to only function as a virtual keypad/alarm pad.

Any chance something like this is feasible or in the works already?

As far as I know, this is definitely “in the works” at SmartThings, but the exact level of detail, granularity, and complexity is certainly not announced yet.

One of the reasons we built SmartTiles is to offer an alternative client with some degree of better per-Dashboard access control (you can create 5 distinct dashboards, each with only specific devices). Perhaps some future version of SmartTiles will also support notifications.
