Eve Energy Doesn't connect to ST

Trying to connect my new energy plug via ST. I’ve tried re setting (multiple times), different ways of engaging the connection (QR code, code, etc.). It always hangs up with the Ichain connection and error code 39-900. I decided to try this with google home and it worked fine. Any ideas?

Is this the Matter plug-in outlet? If you got it to work in Google, I would suggest generating a new QR code for multi-admin in the Google app and try commissioning with that QR code. Also, what ST hub do you have?

Yes an EVE energy plug and a ST 3 hub. When I first used these, these integrated almost immediately- now, not at all. Makes me think ST has screwed something up. I was thinking about the muti admin approach, but did not find it last night when I tried it. May search later, but that raises a question - if I later remove it from Google, will the ST link skill work?

I bet you’re using iOS…

Yes. So I can now only use Android for Matter? I Guess Nest/Google has this better figured out IOs?

If I remember correctly, there’s an issue with the current version of iOS and it’ll be fixed in the next version.

In the meantime use Android to commission M/T devices.

I had wondered the same thing and updated to IOS 18.4 and it still doesn’t work. Another Won’t Work With ST device…

Absolutely no issues here whatsoever with more than ten Eve Energy plugs.

They say that the error code is related to the iCloud, so maybe wait until it’s fixed.

My first 7 Eve devices went in easier than anything else. Now I can’t get EVE (or any other Matter) installed. But at least the previously paired ones keep working. I’ll try the Google approach and see if that works.

So I confirmed this worked. The Google remove Matter device make it sounds like it removes both ST and Google, but alas it worked as planned and only removed Google so I don’t get duplicates. A messy work around, but this seems to do the job. May try on another Matter device that I’ve never gotten to work with ST. Seems like ST matter integration worked better 6 months ago than it does now- at least with IOs.
