[Edge] Driver for Aqara Switches and Remotes

Wow thanks.

I also have LIDL Silvercrest motion sensors and they also stick to 100%. Guess they are also efficient. Nice…

well, it’s both,

Zigbee is highly power-efficient, and it transfers data only when the button is pressed. Most of the time, the device remains in deep sleep.

On the other hand, the older Aqara is not very good at reporting, as it only provides battery voltage information, rather than a percentage. The voltage decreases non-linearly, and most of the time it is at 3V (100%). However, when the battery ages or becomes drained, it can drop within a few months. This is enough to receive a notification, but if you see a battery level of 50%, don’t expect it to keep working for several more years.

Good Afternoon, @veonua add the fingergrit to the Zigbee buttons driver, the fingerprint of the Aqara Smart Knob H1 wireless to your drivers. It has the functions of single click, double click, click and hold, Rotation and pressed rotation. Below is the print of the fingerprint of this device.

Can you please send me logs of the events to PM? I don’t have any of these devices and suspect limited support for the knobs in the ST ecosystem.

How do I send event logs? where it is ?

Here are some instructions in order to see the log:

Hey, Could you walk me through how you paired the 4 button switch to the hub? I have an Aeotech hub and it does not pair for some reason. I have the edge drivers installed. Thankss

what model do you have, there is only one 4button (Opple) device supported

WXCJKG12LM

I have manged to identify it by the hub, but it’s in the MQTT device handler sate, and changing the driver doesn’t actually change the driver. it keeps defaulting to MQTT.

Hello, has anyone managed to add the Xiaomi Mija Button to Smartthings? I kept trying and it seems that no edge drivers have appeared yet. I can’t pair the button.

@Lanpeng_Woo had the same issue

Pairing a device is not dependent on a suitable Edge Driver. With out the correct driver it will pair as a Zigbee Thing.

So you currently have a pairing problem not a driver problem. Aqara devices can be very hard to pair. So 1st get it paired then worry about a driver.

Starting with July 22, all 3 buttons became virtual, they worked, but they don’t have drivers. I tried to select the driver for xiaomi buttons but they didn’t work. I deleted one of the devices and since then I have not been able to pair it.

All other 103 devices work perfectly.

It’s amazing - I managed to pair the button. I pressed from second to second in pairing mode until I succeeded. It automatically took the Xiaomi/Aqara driver…

Great that you managed to pair…If someone else is having problems pairings Aqara devices here are some instructions:

First hold the button until LED goes off(about 3 seconds). It should flash once quickly. Then press it again. It should flash 3 times indicating it has connected to the hub. Continue pressing the pairing button between double flashes of the LED until the device shows up in the app. It will take a minute or so. If you’ve ever paired a universal tv remote without the code it’s similar to that.

Yes, I encountered the same issue with my Aqara cube new out of the box. The pairing took days without success. Then I changed its battery and the pairing was successful. If it’s a wireless device, it’s worth a try.
