Ecobee3: Control Temp based on Humidity

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can confirm if the Ecobee3 lets you control the temperature based on humidity without having a humidifier. Ideally, I want to be able to enter in an RH value and have the thermostat make it’s adjustments based on this.

From what I can gather online it’s not so clear to me if this is the case. I am debating on whether to buy a Nest or Ecobee3 and this requirement is the determining factor for me.

I have also a smartapp available at my github that can trigger this settings based on a target humidity level. It requires MyEcobee device to run.

The smartapp is called MonitorAndSetEcobeeHumidity.

Sorry for the late response. Thanks for clearing this up for me. I just ordered some ecobee3’s from smarthome using a 20% discount coupon. They are on back order but once I receive them I will follow up with your suggestions.
