Just an update for 2024: Eve has released their new Matter over Thread inwall receptacle. Two independently controlled sockets, ul listed, runs locally, works out of the box with SmartThings with no custom code required, Although since it is a matter device, you will need to have a SmartThings/Aeotec hub. But if you do, this is finally a device that meets the most common requests in this device class. 
And if you want a lot of them, at the time of this post, Home Depot was including this model in their “buy more save more“ program so you can get 20% off if you buy at least three, although the offer may vary by store. (Note that at the time of this posting, the following link was for a two pack.)
