In Wall ZW Outlet

I am looking to install some in-wall z-wave outlets but am having trouble finding what I am looking for.

Do they make them where both recpticals are controllable? I’ve seen some that have 1 zw and 1 always on.

Will they function as repeaters?

What do you use?

First things first: what country are you in? The device selection does vary.

Sorry. I’m in the US

Ok, the news is not good if you want zwave. :disappointed_relieved:

There were a few of these but for some complicated reasons there was A miscommunication between the Z wave alliance and the device manufacturers and some multichannel devices were certified but not actually compliant, including these. To the best of my knowledge, these have all been withdrawn from sale by this point.

There is a plug-in pocket socket from Zooz which has two independently controlled sockets, but I don’t know if that would meet your requirements. It’s a nice device, but it can only support up to a total of 10A.

As far as in wall receptacles, I don’t know of any currently available with Z wave. There are a few with Wi-Fi, including one from TP Link Kasa which I believe works through the official integration, but I’m not 100% sure on that. A. @Gutheinz might know.

There is also one from iDevices which doesn’t have an official smartthings integration but does work with Ifttt.

Of course the Wi-Fi devices are not going to help you with repeaters for your Z wave. :disappointed_relieved:

Well that explains why I couldn’t find any! Thanks for letting me know I’m not crazy.
I am open to zigbee as well. Basically I am researching options other than wifi.

Leviton DZR15-1RZ Decora Z-Wave Controls 15-Amp Tamper Resistant Split Duplex Receptacle, White/Ivory/Light Almond https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6HT2YN/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_dmfuFbE1CTZ77
It works fine, however only one outlet is controlled

In addition to the Leviton, GE/Jasco, Eva Logik, Eaton Cooper, linear/GoControl, Evolve, and Enerwave all have models of that type, with a single Z wave outlet and the other outlet always on.

It should work. The official TP-link integration looks pretty good (I reloaded the New App the other day and discovered the Kasa devices to see if they are now acceptable (yes).)
