I’m new to this forum. I have Dooya tubular motor curtains installed in my house. It works with a basic remote control. I know that Dooya motors work with zigbee. I’m looking for a way to hook up my curtains to my home automation system Harmony. Are the motors compatible with the Smartthings hub?
I’ve been doing some research on this as well. It seems like the type of dooya motors that can only be controlled via rf. Dooya also sells a wired version of their motors. Given that you might not want to bother replacing the motors, I have heard you can use Broadlink RF controllers, which can be controlled via your smart phone: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Smart-Home-Broadlink-RM-Mini3-Rm2-Rm-Pro-Universal-Intelligent-Remote-Control-RF-IR-IR-WiFi/32698178807.html?spm=2114.search0184.108.40.206082dc8YDoWkk&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_1_10152_10151_10065_10344_10068_10130_10324_10342_10547_10325_10343_10546_10340_10548_10341_10545_10084_10083_10618_10307_5711211_10313_10059_10534_100031_10103_10627_10626_10624_10623_10622_5722411_10621_10620_5711311,searchweb201603_25,ppcSwitch_7&algo_expid=1b66dca8-b570-4f09-b085-944543792bd7-1&algo_pvid=1b66dca8-b570-4f09-b085-944543792bd7&priceBeautifyAB=0.
Note, I have not used this myself as I am using the wired motors for control.
Hope this help!
Are you saying that with wired motors you have the ability to control them via Zigbee ?
Not sure I’m following you here. I have several Dooya tubular motors model DM25TE installed in alternate blinds and I’m looking for a way to control them other than the Broadlink module that the seller talked to me about.
I saw that Dooya just released some kind of a hub compatible with Zigbee model number DQ7001 but from their website it seems quite expensive at around 1400 RMB which equals to more than 300 USD.
Any help will be appreciated !
With the wired version, you can control it via z-wave.
The motor you have, DM25TE, has a radio and can only be controlled via RF. If you get the the DM25DS, you will be able to control it via its DC current flow. You will to get a Qubino controller http://qubino.com/products/flush-shutter-dc/ to control it via z-wave. I am currently waiting on my motor, so I am not sure if it will all work yet, but I will know in a month or so.
Did you get your setup working OK using the controller?
Hey Leigh, Yep. It took a while for everything to arrive, but the setup works like a charm.
