If you received that promo code from a Ring email directly, then you can enter it by following the instructions below:
Please remember that you’ll enter your unique promo code on either the “Shipping Info” or the “Payment & Order” pages in the text field that appears beneath the question “How did you hear about us?” Please also remember to press “Submit” after you’ve entered your promo code.
Also bear in mind that the code is unique to each customer, meaning the code will “die” once used. So mass circulated promo codes will unfortunately not work. If you purchased a Doorbot and did not receive our email with the promo code to upgrade, please contact our support team at help[at]ring[dot]com or 800-656-1918. They’ll be more than happy to send you the email with the promo code again.
I just purchased a Ring Doorbell for my new construction home that (hopefully) will be finished in December. Hopefully this will be less buggy than the other 1st Gen video doorbells.
@YassiRing - can you tell me if someone pushes the Ring doorbell, will it push a signal to multiple iOS devices that have the Ring App installed? And more importantly, can more than 1 iOS device connect video/audio to the doorbell at the same time? (eg. if both my wife and I answer the doorbell on our respective devices)
I’m been looking into DoorBot almost buying it until I seen in this thread of reviews that your company change name to Ring. The name fits better for your products.
I would like to get a promo code to purchase the new Ring products for $99.00
Could you send me one? Pagegeorgemartin@gmail.com
Thanks.
$ 199 is too expensive for purchase to Germany.
Just the customs charges and VAT are not just a little (over $ 48)
Could I also get a promotional code? For $ 99 I would buy it.
In return, I would like to operate in Germany advertising for your product.
You can pair an unlimited amount of devices to your Ring Doorbell. In our app (which is now available in both the App Store and Google Play Store under Ring.com) you can turn your notifications on or off, meaning if you don’t want to receive the notifications but your wife does, you can manually set it to alert you in that fashion.
Also, does your ISP require a static IP address in order to view / communicate with the doorbell when you are out of your home network?
I have an ipCamera that is a big pain to get confirgured if you have a dynamic IP address for out-of-home network range.
thx
Here’s the problem – while the $99 price is good for only the poor customers who suffered through your growing pains with a version 1.0 product, a price of $199 is WAY too high due to the reputation this bad product has now given you. IOW, I’d be a fool to turn over $200 to a company with such a bad track record of delivering things (and THEN charging their customer base another $100 to make it right).
So I will echo what others have said here – if you offer this to me for $100 I’ll pay it. Heck, I’d even pay you ANOTHER $100 after a year (assuming it still works). And that’s not so far fetched – you want to sell me cloud service, I’m sure. But to take a chance now when you have NEVER delivered a working product… just ain’t gonna happen (my momma didn’t raise no fools).
Best of luck to you (I’ll check in and if you are still in business in another year or two and have a viable product I may be a customer then, assuming that no other reputable company like Apple or GoPro hasn’t beaten you to the punch by that time).
I have been vocal about this company in the past and not in a good way. After a recent conversation with their CEO Jamie who persuaded me to give them another chance. I have ordered my Ring and will report back once I receive it, which I’m told should be in early December.
I agree, as I said before. With this companies reputation. I could never encourage anyone to spend $200 on their new product.
If @YassiRing and the company understand SEO and word of mouth. They would be happy to cough up product to key people that would be willing to test the product and provide honest reviews and feedback.
For instance if you Google ring video doorbell, you’ll find this thread is #4. Anyone that currently views this thread is only going to see the hesitation from this community. Had they “ring” immediately sent hardware to people who questioned their past experience or entertained selling some devices at $99 to some of those that requested it. This thread may already be full of positive reinforcement for the new device.
I personally, always check this forum for information about Smart Home products before I buy them to see if it’s worth the investment. Had this thread already had positive input then A Ring Video Doorbell would be on my list. Instead, I still have no reason to buy one or recommend buying the product.
I am offering smart home solutions in Canada. I am so happy to see such a product is going to appear in the market besides Skybell. Personally, I am using Skybell, but if you can provide my with the promo price, I will be really happy to test and then try to sell it to our customers. stephen@joyfortune.ca
I am VERY interested in this product and currently deciding which to buy. The DoorBot, Skybell or Ring. I would certainly make the purchase of the DoorBot if you would be kind enough to provide me with a 50% coupon. Thank you.
I would love to try the Ring product but am not willing to pay $200. I attempted to use the coupon code and had no success. Can you please send me a coupon code so I can purchase the Ring for $99… Thanks
The coupon code is a one-time use and unique to each customer. We cannot provide you with a $99 promo code as those are only offered to previous Doorbot customers.
