I was able to pair the device. It shows temperature, but not humidity. Has anybody gotten it to work without having to buy some sort of device handler software plugin?

I don’t have one of these, but found this with quick search for “monoprice pir”…
Is there a free DHT for this Monoprice Z-Wave Plus PIR Multi Sensor, Temperature - Humidity - Light? I see some people say to use the Zooz, but does it really work?
Yes. I’m successfully using one of these to monitor a damp storage room in my basement. The Monoprice unit is a re-branded ZOOZ ZSE40 4-in-1 sensor. I’m using a DH published by “skyjunky”.

If you have access to RBoy Apps check out the official handler
There are differences between the Monoprice and ZooZ units. We have separate handlers for both of them :
RBoy Apps is now an official partner of Monoprice.
This Device Handler is for the Monoprice 4 in 1 Motion Sensor with Temperature, Humidity and Light Sensor (15902).

This passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion and sends a Z-Wave® trigger signal to the network. It also features temperature, humidity, and light sensors, which will automatically report changes in the conditions and will report the absolute values when queried. It has a tamper-proof switch, which will trigger a Z-Wave signal when the cover is removed.
This device handler supports the Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus devices. Support has also been added for v1 and v2 hub fingerprinting for easy identification and supports the Classic and new ST app. Ideally install the Device Handler BEFORE pairing the device for easy se…
