when I try to delete any custom device type (regardless of whether it is in use) I get “DeviceType still in use by devices”?
Has anyone experienced this? Any tips?
I am able to delete smartapps just fine.
Yes - I have the same issue 
log in to the IDE. Go to locations, choose devices, choose the device, click on delete.
Problem is that there IS NO device to delete in the IDE either.

This was more about the custom device type.
Say I install a custom device type for a device how do I now remove that device type and revert back to the stock one?
Seems like the only way now is to delete and ready the device…
