Devices disappeared from the hub after adding a zooz z wave motion sensor

I added a zooz zse18 motion sensor to the hub and a minute after most of my devices in smartthings have disappeared. A few devices that remain connected are all showing under one room.
What is causing this and how can I fix it? I power cycled the hub a couple of times to no avail.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Have you looked in the Advanced Web App (Samsung account) to see if your devices are still listed there?

So I did a z wave repair and also looked in the advanced web app as per your suggestion. The devices are now showing up but they are all in ‘Bathroom’ instead of their respective rooms. Is this something I just have to fix manually?
Could adding a new z wave device cause these types of problems?

Did the names get changed also? “1” appended to them???

yes but it should be easy to move the devices in the app. go the the room with the devices, tap on the 3 dots and select Move devices.

yes, this issue has been happening to some users in the past few months. Some get their devices renamed with 1 at the end, others have seen the issue you experienced.

Yes! There are a couple of devices now with ‘1’ appended. Can I go ahead and change the name back or will it break something else?
Also, I started z wave repair last night and 12 hours later it is still going. Can I go ahead and end it?
Many thanks.

It all sounds rather peculiar really. There is nothing going on that the mobile app couldn’t do if it wanted to, and certain aspects (the ’ 1’ on the end of the device name, and devices being created in the same room as the hub) have echoes of recent tweaks to the ‘Add device’ flow. To me it sounds rather like the mobile app is updating all the existing devices as if they have just been installed, rather than just the ones that have been.

Go ahead and rename.

Yes… you should probably cancel it. You should run it a few times after you get your devices back to their rooms and renamed.

Thank you for all the links to the other threads. Apologies that I should have posted my question in those relevant threads.
So this seems to be a Zooz specific problem?
That’s giving me pause because I had few other new zooz devices that I was going to add.
Is Zooz aware of this issue?

Absolutely not! If you check out those other threads, you’ll see it’s rather random.

Smartthings is aware of the issue. Keep an eye on this thread.
