Needing help, I bought a Tuya ZigBee device to turn my home monitor on and off because my housekeeper wouldn’t let me install the ST on her smartphone. So the only solution was to turn it on and off with a button. I can’t get it to work on the ST. It even pairs, but it doesn’t work. Can you help me?
Link to the product page?
I mean… All we have is an image to work with and there isn’t even a Zigbee logo on it.
How about a smart lock with a keypad?
Edit: if it’s a Zigbee device (with no logo on the box), you could try this driver (scroll down to the invitation link).
It’s probably a Tuya keyfob clone, like the Woox R7054 a user asked about here (but nobody replied apparently):
It doesn’t use the custom Tuya cluster 0xEF00 but the standard IAS_ACE cluster of Zigbee (surprise!)
It’s interesting since those unofficial Tuya drivers (made by SmartThings devs?) have some support for a SOS Tuya button, of course limited to a specific fingerprint which is a problem with all the Tuya clones.
The other three buttons of the keyfob are the Arm
command with the different arm modes that are not handled.
I’m tempted to ask @nayelyz about those “Unofficial” drivers, do they admit requests? Looks like the keyfob would be a nice addition, although it’s a pain to keep track of all the fingerprints (I’ll just leave here some of them for anyone interested).
Give me half an hour…
Try the Tuya Zigbee Device (Snapshot Tuya Zigbee Button) from my channel and delete and re-add the device in the ST app.
It’s a snapshot of the stock driver + the fingerprint of your device. I don’t want to put too much work into a Tuya driver, so the arm/disarm buttons won’t work. At least one of the buttons should work and you could just toggle the state.
I’d imagine that these devices are horrible unreliable, constantly joining and leaving the Zigbee mesh network…
Never seen isWWST: false
before…
My apologies i’m a bit confused.. are you trying to turn off a computer monitor? locally or remotely? and you want to use a key fob or any remote type device?
I already have a Yale smart lock, but I haven’t been able to create a scenario where unlocking the lock changes the HOME MONITOR status. The siren keeps going off…
Thanks, I’ll try again later. Due to the time difference, I won’t be able to see and respond until a few hours later.
I’m trying to disarm the ST monitoring system using a key fob, as one of the users in the house can’t do it using a smartphone.
The device found its drive, and I was presented with many options: single tap, double tap, long tap, and many others. I tried all of them, creating a simple scene. When pressed, the lamp turns on. However, no scene was triggered, regardless of the button or single or double tap.
