Let me know if you have any more issues…not sure I can do much, but I’m constantly trying to improve both the software and the documentation.

Connected to your repository and it does not take. I was able to update from the old repository. I used copy/paste to add it.

Owner: SANdood
Name: Ecobee-Suite (note that the hyphen is required)
Branch: master

The entry has a red delete next to it.

I am in the midst of a MAJOR RE-RELEASE. Version 1.3.0 has a serious bug in it, and I will be releasing a version 1.4.* momentarily.

Thank you for your patience

URGENT: Please uninstall v1.3.* and re-install using version 1.4.0 (see here for explanation why this is necessary).

How important is it to switch? Not home for 11 days but might be able to do it all on a phone. It seems to be functioning so far

@Joe_Mcnelly

Since you removed the old version before installing 1.3.0, you should be OK. But you will need to completely remove 1.3.0 before you update your SmartApps or Device Handlers from the Repo - once you do that, you’ll have (another) hard time getting everything removed again.

Not that it helps, but I realized what I screwed when I tried to replicate your uninstall issue…sorry to have put you through this…

It’s all good, I’ll see if I can get it done on my phone, much more painful but I think it will work because of Github integration provided, can’t do copy and paste stuff on phones, at least not a galaxy s7

I have just installed the Ecobee Suite 1.4 and I have a couple of problems. One is that the temperature selection setting shows that the temperature should be in Celsius, which is correct but the actual temperature in the ecobee Things is showing in Fahrenheit. How can I change this. See pictures. Also in the Ecobee Suite Manager when I touch Ecobee Suite Preferences nothing happens. If I touch any of the other options the next screen opens with the options available but nothing is happening with the Preferences option.IMG_2091IMG_2092

Also, what does the three question marks mean?

Those mean that the installation is not complete and/or has not successfully connected with the Ecobee Cloud yet (that’s what the frowning cloud means).

Try the double-refresh trick (hit Refresh, and when the Bee re-appears, hit it again). Also, look in Live Logging for Ecobee Suite Manager and the thermostat itself to see if any (red) errors are being flagged.

OK I did that and nothing changed in the app. Here is the log…

What are the versions numbers as displayed in Ecobee Suite Manager and the My Ecobee thermostat device (find in the configuration page)?

In the Ecobee Suite manager it says 1.4.17 and on the My Ecobee device it says 1.4.08.

OK, I just noticed something in my ST app. I had added my Ecobee thermostat when it was installed before I found this Suite. So it was in my ST Things as My Ecobee. After I installed Ecobee Suite 1.4 I am noticing a new Thing called EcobeeTherm: My ecobee. This one seems to be working correctly. Except I can’t change any Preferences in the Ecobee Suite Manager. Any ideas on this problem? Also, when I am setting up Ecobee Suite Manager and I select the Thermostat, it only has my original My Ecobee thing as an option. Is this correct or should there be an option for EcobeeTherm: My ecobee? Can I delete the original My Ecobee thing? Also when adding it to WebCore and Alexa, should I be selecting the EcobeeTherm: My ecobee thing?

I suggest that you completely remove EVERYTHING related to Ecobee. You may find it difficult to remove the “My ecobee” device, since (apparently) its parent has been deleted. I would also suggest removing ALL ecobee-related SmartApps and DTHs from your IDE - everything EXCEPT the files in the “sandood” namespace.

Then start over from scratch, running My Ecobee Manager to connect to the Ecobee Cloud, and then to add the one ecobee thermostat.

In the end, you should haveonly the Ecobee Suite Thermostat device, which will have a name like “EcoTherm: My ecobee” (you can change its SmartThings name through the config page)

Then yes, you should select this “EcoTherm:” device for Alexa and WebCoRE integration.

OK, I have deleted everything and re added it all back in. Seems to be working now except I still can’t get into the Preferences settings. I am using iOS app.

Awesome! We are making progress…

I know this can be frustrating, especially after you’ve gone through the complex installation.

Could you please turn on Live Logging and monitor your Ecobee Suite Manager while you press the arr to the right of “Ecobee Suite Preferences”? There must be some sort of error there, but I can’t reproduce it.

Thanks, and not to worry, we will get you running…

This is what is showing in the Live Logging for the Ecobee Suite Preferences:

Doesn’t seem to do anything when I click on the “>” or anywhere on the Preferences.

Try logging out of the mobile SmartThings app, then remove it from memory on your device (double-click to list of apps, then drag the SmartThings app upwards quickly). Then restart the SmartThings app and login again - then back to Automations/Ecobee Suite Manager and see if you can open preferences again…
