Constantly getting logged out of ST App - Windows 10 Mobile

For the few of us still using a Windows Phone, has anybody noticed that the ST App logs you out automatically. It happens quite frequently, but I can’t figure out the exact pattern - it doesn’t happen EVERY time I exit the app.

Push notifications like my garage door tilt sensor still come through, but it’s wreaking havoc on my presence sensing - it won’t recognize I’ve left the house, I’ll open the app, it will require a login, and then it sees I’ve left.

Not sure if this is a W10M issue or ST App issue.

I think it might be a W10M issue. It happens to me with the SmartThings app as well as the Starbucks one. It’s very annoying.

on my ATIV Se i didn’t have to login so frequently as in the new 950 XL, both on windows 10 RS

Yep, I posted about it the other day. Pretty annoying as I have some automations based on presence.

Ok, so I’m thinking it’s independent of the ST App getting logged out…my presence sensing is just wildly inconsistent. Wife’s Galaxy S7 seems better, but not perfect either.

I posted in the other thread but I’ll post here as well:
Lumia 950 and 635 keep logging my wife and I out as well. Started infrequently a couple months ago, but is at the point that presence detection basically doesn’t work.

My mother has a Lumia 950 (she loves it) and it constantly logs her out too.

This totally started with the last update. I have a 950xl and an iPhone and prior to the last patches, my windows phone was a more reliable presence sensor than the iPhone. Now the apps logs me out and the hub doesn’t know where I am. Sad.

Do you mean ST Update or WP Insider Preview update?

I mean after the last ST W10 app update.

This Christmas, I wish the ST dev team would give us a nice app update–one that doesn’t log out so often.

I have been noticing that I get logged out of the ST app on Android (Nexus 6P) and have to log back in for perhaps the past 1-2 months. Seems erratic. After noticing this thread, I will see if it happens when my presence is away from hub.

It is quite possible that this has been happening since the 2.2.2 update for me. I can’t find an easy way to see when updates happened but I have an email dated Nov. 19 talking about 2.2.2 in a general way. My current version is 2.2.4.

Good to know it’s not isolated to Windows, but doesn’t bode well for the overall robustness of the ST platform in general. Although who knows if it’s even the same systemic issue.

Update: It is still happening for me with Android (latest version 7.1.1, autoupdated, Nexus 6P). And it is not related to leaving the house (Presence detection).

It seems to disappear once every three days or so.

If you use a second device for setting up rules that can cause these problems. I use an android emulator to do anything in core and having two devices with the same login will mess up presence. If you delete the alt device and your device from ide and then reinstall app onW10 most of the presence issues will resolve. Just one more way us loyal win phone users suffer.
