Connecting the Aqara u300 Door Lock

hello again, just got my u300 installed, connected via bluetooth to the Aqara app and configured for use… but… i keep getting an error code in ST when connecting via Matter over Thread on my v3 hub.

after scanning the QR code within ST, it detects that im connecting to an Aqara device and the following Press the Set Button message appears.

seems to connect, not sure via what method, maybe Thread?

it sees my Thread Network, as i have a few Eve switches on it, so i know that network is good.

already have, they should get back to me within 5 to 7 business days i reckon.

wish i could have come back to this thread with some weird solution, however, it just worked today.
decided to take another crack at pairing it to the hub, so i tapped the Set button, reset the bind with the 4 key on the door lock, Scanned for new device in the ST app, scanned the door lock QR code when prompted, and within 30 seconds it went through all the above mentioned screens, and Success.
i did nothing different then in my previous attempts. so odd for it to just work all of a sudden.
