Channel subscriptions vanished [was: Ability to switch the driver gone?]

I swear it once was possible to see what driver is used and to switch the driver in the device detail view…

Maybe it was just a dream…

Edit: that’s not good:

The “choose a different driver“ option is also available for a bridged matter device using a standard edge driver:

Showing for me.

Note: linked services devices will not show Driver in the Menu.

I have seen this lately, and I discovered the problem. I my case when the driver settings don’t show, it is an indication that the Driver Channel that contains the Driver is no longer bound to you SmartThings account. If you reconnect the driver channel the problem goes away. I found 2 of these yesterday.

I have noticed this today, not on all devices but specifically Ikea blinds using the ST stock zigbee window treatment driver:

Still bound to the channel, apart from anything else it is ST stock driver!

(Reason for looking was that I have found blind state reporting to be significantly degraded - %ages especially)

Not linked, as you can see. I’m not that stupid…

Only some of my cameras are linked, by the way. 95 % Matter/Thread and Zigbee.

Driver channels for most of my devices is ST production and beta.

Of course I choose the most basic devices for the screenshots: not linked, stock drivers.

And I was working on a Zigbee driver for the Aqara H2 Switch EU…

Hmmm, I have just found this problem with one of my thermostats.
I updated my custom edge driver and planned to toggle edge drivers to trigger the update.
I think I used Wave Thing. At this point I lost the Driver from the dropdown menu.
I used the ‘My SmartThings’ web page to get my custom Edge driver back in place.

WTF…

Haven’t touched this at all.

I’m seeing this in the app as of a couple days ago. All of my devices from one manufacturer lost the “Driver” menu from 3 dot kabob menu at the top right of the device’s page. I added a new device from the same manufacturer and that one along has the “Driver” menu.

I can still see and change the driver from the Advanced Web App, however.

Yep, that worked for me for one device.

Reminder to download the list of driver channels every so often, because we can’t trust the cloud!

I’m already late

This will take an hour to find all the matching channels…

@nayelyz : any idea what’s going on?

In my case I found that I got a “Forbidden” message trying to get into the Production channel. I also had access to the Beta channel, which I was able to get into and load that driver, which brought the menu back. So many people lost driver access across a number of devices it makes you wonder which side the issue is on.

What do you mean?

It’s certainly not on the user’s side.

Fortunately, almost everything is unnecessary drivers from SmartThings

On the SmartThings side vs the individual manufacturers. In other words not just a problem with one brand of device.
