Next week, we’ll go where we’ve never gone before. Introducing…well, you’ll have to wait and see, but it’s a #smarthome addition lots of you have asked for. Got a guess? Tell us in the comments below. pic.twitter.com/2JwHAPfmfb

Sadly, since the official Lutron integration appears to be orphaned, with neither company updating it, whatever is new may not be part of the smartthings options. Like the fan switch which was introduced almost 2 years ago and still doesn’t work with smartthings. But we will have to see.

yeah, i’ll be very curious to see which Caseta devices are supported when they re-write the new integration.

Here was an interesting debut of of a Samsung Smart TV feature known as Digital Butler at last years CES which of course hasn’t been deployed to TVs as of yet even though it was supposed to be last summer. Just another instance of Samsung back peddling much like the 2016 TV/Smartthings dongle fiasco.

Their argument is that there are people paying more than that to dog walkers annually, so the cost might be justifiable. Which I guess is true if you’re OK with your dog being alone in your yard when no one is home.

I know some tech worker single people with dogs who might Be interested once they’re back working in the office again. And some healthcare workers. people whose schedules can be unpredictable. But I don’t have a good feel for how big the market will be.

If you’re not trying to replace dog walker costs, then it’s a very expensive pet door.
