I’m here hoping to get some insights on an issue I’m facing with a product update in the SmartThings Workspace. We’ve got a product up and running, but now we’re looking to introduce some new color options to it.
Here’s What’s Up:
Our plan is to add these new colors to our existing product lineup. The cool part is that all the tech stuff – hardware and software – is staying exactly the same. The only change we’re aiming for is listing these colors under new names in the same product family.
Stumbling Block:
Here’s where I’m stuck: once our product got published, it seems like we can’t edit its ‘Product Info’ anymore – the ‘EDIT’ button is just not active. Has anyone faced this kind of issue before? How did you manage to update your product details after it was published?
My Question:
I remember reading something about being able to add multiple models for different designs or colors. So, I’m wondering, do these simple color updates need a new round of WWST certification? I’m trying to figure out the most efficient way to handle this while staying within the guidelines.
Thanks in advance for the help!

If your new product works correctly with your current integrations, I recommend contacting the certification team, providing them with your past certificationId, and explaining your case. They should be able to assist you with these types of questions.
Thank you so much for your swift response and warm welcome to the SmartThings Community!
I appreciate your recommendation to reach out to the certification team with our existing certification ID. This seems like a promising approach for our situation. However, I’m not entirely sure about the best way to contact them. Could you please guide me on the specific channel or method to get in touch with the certification team? Is there a particular email address or a section within the SmartThings Workspace where I can submit this inquiry?
Your further assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for your help!
