Arlo integration not working

Works now! So just curious, what was it? Did arlo change something on their end and you guys had to patch it? Or the other way around?

Now, they need to work on fixing the ability to record from Arlo Cameras in the new apps Automation actions like other cameras can. I have both Dlink and the SmartThings cameras which have the option to set them to ‘record’ in the new SmartThings app Automation action, but the Arlo cameras don’t show any record option at all!

Here we go again!!!

My Arlo Pro 2 cameras are showing ‘offline’ this morning in SmartThings, but SmartThings is showing my Arlo Q camera still online. I tried refreshing the SmartThings Arlo connected service, but that did not bring the Arlo Pro 2 cameras back. All of these cameras are available in the Arlo app.

Update: Even though the Arlo Pro 2 cameras are showing offline in SmartThings, the SmartThings Scenes that I have them in are still controlling there on/off switch that enables/disables the Arlo camera.

Mine was doing this late last week and I was going to put in another ticket, but it started working again over the weekend. Not sure what’s really going on.

Two of three of my cams are offline. Strange.

Well, I ended up removing and reconnecting the Arlo Connected Service and deleting the Pro 2 cameras. Then reconnected the Arlo Connected Service and the Pro 2 cameras are showing online now, but they are not showing there battery status in SmartThings. I think Arlo may have performed a firmware update last night though too which may be there reason for no battery status. Anyway, since I removed the Arlo Connected Service, I then had to redo the STHM and all Automations, Scenes, and SmartApps that I had those cameras in. Seriously, both Arlo and SmartThings really need to make this Arlo Connected Service more stable.

Submit a ticket. I’ll do the same.

My Arlo integration stopped working 4/20. The SmartThings Classic widget no longer changes the Aro Pro modes.

The SmartThings Classic app , under SmartApps, lists the Arlo connection, but selecting it yields this error: “Something’s wrong. We can’t load your screen right now.”

Experiencing same issue.

Having same issues as people above. Arlo cams showing unavailable again this morning. Deleted all scense and devices. Unassigned arlo account from smarthings and then went to re-add everything back.

Getting {“error”:true,“type”:“java.lang.NullPointerException”,“message”:“An unexpected error occurred.”}

When trying to add arlo account back to smarthings. Any solution for this? Why does this keep happening?

I am getting this same exact error. My camera would not connect this morning, I tried to delete the camera from my smart things app and now when I add it this error comes up. Anyone have any fixes? is this a smart things issue or an arlo issue? my arlo app seems to be working fine. Camera works great from the arlo app.

Submit a ticket. That’s what I did last time to get Samsung to look into it. Mine are working correctly ATM.

After I got my Arlo Pro 2 cameras back online in SmartThings the other day, today the are totally broken in SmartThings including my Arlo Q camera. Can’t even on/off (enable/disable) them at all in SmartThings.

Since Arlo broke off from Netgear, some things sure seen to be going wrong. I really, really, really wish that Samsung would purchase Arlo and solve this integration issue.

Which app are you using? Mine are working fine in the new app after a little hiccup this past weekend.

I can’t even delete the Arlo Connect service using either the new Connect app or old Classic app just to try and reset everything. So I’m totally bonked. Opened a ticket too now.

Getting the following error trying to add new Arlo Q camera

{“error”:true,“type”:“java.lang.NullPointerException”,“message”:“An unexpected error occurred.”}

{HTML_1=Your Arlo account is now connected to SmartThings. Here are the Devices we found from your Arlo account., HTML_2=Tap ‘Done’ to choose which devices to add to SmartThings., HTML_3=There was an error connecting your account with SmartThings, HTML_4=Please try again.}

I’m getting the same error when trying to connect Arlo to SmartThings. Happens in both the new and classic apps.

At 6:30 a.m. eastern time in the US, it appears that smart things and Arlo pro are now working again. Not sure how stable it is but it is working.

Yes, this morning my Arlo cameras started showing online after I opened the Arlo Connect service and simply selected ‘Done’ which obviously refreshed the connection and it started working again.

I did receive a response to my ticket, here’s what they advised:
