I have read through some of the other posts but none have helped me yet. I bought an Aqara WS-USC03 Wall Switch and I can’t seem to find the Edge Driver for it. I tried Veon’s drivers but none show up in the driver list for the switch. Any directions would be useful thx.
I’ll admit I was just understanding device handlers when they did the whole switch to Edge Drivers. Anyway I’m still rocking a V2 Hub incase yall need to know that.
My experience with Aqara devices is that they do best when connected to an Aqara hub. A couple of the hub models support Matter and will connect to your V2 hub via Matter-over-bridge.
I started out with a deal on two three-packs of Aqara leak sensors that I tried connecting to SmartThings. They kept dropping offline so I bought the Aqara M2 hub and put them on their own Zigbee network. I’ve since added some temp/humidity/pressure sensors and additional leak sensors.
The M2 hub is connected to my V2 SmartThings hub via matter and everything is solid.
I will say that the main issue with going to an Aqara hub is you’ll be building a separate Zigbee network. So you may need something mains-powered depending on distances. I did have to buy an Aqara plug in outlet to reach one part of the house.
But in your screenshot it’s a definitely a LEDVANCE A19 smart bulb.
Are you sure that you are working on the correct device? Your switch should show up as a separate device, not as a smart bulb and you can’t switch the driver of the bulb to the aforementioned veonua Aqara/Xiaomi Switch and Button driver.
Ok. So Thank you Andreas for catching my mistake that I was looking at the wrong device. I am now able to see the 2 drivers (plus the ST default driver) but the drivers both have 1 thing missing: a way to disable the relay. I confirmed with Aqara that the WS-USC03 can do this, but the instruction they gave me uses their hub and app. So I may still have to get the hub.
According to the website I use as a reference for supported features, this particular model doesn’t support any additional features beyond basic on/off functionality. I don’t see any US switches that support decouple mode, which you’re looking for.
The simplest solution would likely be a dedicated remote switch.
Thx for the reply @veonua. I didn’t realize this switch doesn’t support that mode. Thanks for the info. I did a little bit more digging into aqara’s website. The H2 (US) says it supports decouple mode. Does your driver support that switch too?
