Aqara FP2 Tested with SmartThings?

Here in Portugal the last FP2 version 06.08 works perfect.
Since I bought the aqara I add him to the aqara app and configure all I need in my home.
Yesterday I just need to add new device in Smart things. I search in the compatibility Aqara devices, presence sensor and the FP2 appears in the list.
I just need to select and done.
Works perfect

I tried Aqara support, unfortunately they wouldnt advertise the update to me and said its coming soon.

I’m still on 1.2.7_0011.0080, the developer version, waiting for the update.

Are you using an Aqara Hub? Mine doesn’t detect the sensor in smartthings.

No.
Add FP2 to Aqara app. Configure it.
Add to SmartThings. Name Zones.

Smartthings is not detecting it.

Just bought a FP2. Same problem as above and same dialog message in ST. Did read through, but no solution so far.

Alright…

For those with firmware version 1.2.8 (or higher) who can not add the device, try this:

  1. Remove the device from the Aqara Home app
  2. Install this driver from here: Samsung account
  3. Reset the device
  4. Add the device to the Aqara Home app, do some configuration
  5. Double check, that the driver is installed: ST app → your hub → three dots → driver and driver channel
  6. Add the device to ST by scanning

This driver is a modified version of the original driver that attempts to fix an issue with the TCP socket timeout.

Diff for developers:

Thank you, it’s truly appreciated.
I managed to download the alternative driver, but I still get the same result.
Firmware version is 1.2.7_0010.0080 which probably is the reason for lack of success. ST request that the FW version is 1.2.8_006 or higher.

Sigh… :rage:

It’s Samsung account

The callaway redirect URL is only valid for the user that clicked it.

Edit: this is not the solution! Someone marked this comment wrongfully. Read from the bottom to the top.

Has anyone had success with the new driver?

Try it?

Doesn’t take long and you can always switch back to the stock driver.

I was hoping someone had a better answer than I did. I tried it and had no luck.

Can you check with smartthings edge:drivers:logcat if wantread shows up?

I know it’s annoying but it’s the only way to get the driver fixed.

And maybe delete the second driver:

I already did that unfortunately.
