Trouble Adding Aqara FP2 to ST

I updated my firmware on my FP2 presence sensor but I am having trouble adding it to SmartThings. I’ve read through other threads and followed instructions to delete and reset the presence sensor and then add it back in the Aqara app and then trying to add it to SmartThings but every time I get to this page

And it stays there until it gives me error and as far as I know I have the correct firmware and I also installed the beta driver as recommend in another thread. If anyone can help me figure out how to add my FP2 to ST I’d appreciate it
This is the error

Sensor is connected to the same 2.4ghz WiFi network as my ST hub is

  1. Login here: Samsung account
  2. Select your hub
  3. Scroll down to Installed Drivers and delete the Aqara Presence Sensor driver
  4. Scroll all the way up and click Reboot
  5. Wait 15 minutes
  6. Remove device in the Aqara Home app
  7. Press the button on the device for 15 seconds
  8. Add device to the Aqara Home app
  9. In ST app: add device: scan for devices

(Steps 1 - 5 are only necessary to make sure that you have the latest version of the driver installed.)

I tried to delete the driver and got this error code “ Error uninstalling driver “Aqara Presence Sensor”. 400 Driver with id = 01976eca-e7ff-4d1b-91db-9c980ce668d7 cannot currently be uninstalled. Reason - Driver still in use by Devices - [36e315c2-46d4-457d-b2bf-dcd60077772d] “

Looks like your device is already added. Check the devices in your ST app.

If you still can’t see it in the app: find and delete it (Aqara Presence Sensor) here:

https://my.smartthings.com/advanced/devices

Repeat step 6 - 9, do not interrupt the onboarding process.

This isn’t necessary, but we’ll make sure that your device is correctly added.

I just found it! I don’t know when it added I never got any confirmation or anything that adding it was successful! Thank you though!

Check if it works correctly. Walk around your room and see how the presence changes in the device card.

Guys Ive followed the instructions but still got stuck in the prepare your device scream until it gives me an error saying nothing was found. Any idea what might be going wrong?

I’m having this same issue. I’ve tried all of the instructions above. The FP2 works fine in Aqara but I get an error when trying to add it to ST. I’ve tried adding the device by scanning as well as identifying it in ST. At one point it did show up, but was showing errors. After I tried all of the resets, now I can’t get it to add to ST at all. Any thoughts?

can you provide details on the error messages?

Error Code: 34-302. It times out and I get this error. I have deleted the driver based on other instructions but don’t see that it has reinstalled when I login to ST.

maybe @nayelyz or @Itati can look up the code (or not)

This error appears as “device specific”, and it says “SSE event not received within timeout”.

When we asked about issues installing this particular device, the team mentioned the following:

Thanks for this. I’ve followed the remove/reset/add in Aqara and then tried to add to ST. I get the Error Code: 34-302. I have also removed the Aqara driver based on instructions above, but it doesn’t appear to be re-installing when I add. My Aqara and ST hubs are both connected via ethernet. The presence sensor is on the same wifi network as my other devices, but those are all generally zigbee or zwave into ST. Any other ideas? Thanks!

We would need to investigate further. To do so, we need the following info:

  1. Try to reinstall the device, and take note of the date and time when you do.
Share that timestamp with us, including your timezone. For example, May 27 at 16:00 CST
  2. After it fails, submit the hub logs as follows:
  1. In the Advanced Users app, enter the “Hubs” section
  2. Enter the corresponding Hub and click on “Dump Hub logs”
  3. Confirm the process by clicking on “Dump Hub logs” again in the pop-up.
  4. You’ll get a green box at the top confirming the Hub logs were requested.
  1. Open support access to your account:

instructions followed, i sent you a DM. thank you!

Thank you for the information, @mjl
We created the official report. We’ll let you know once we receive the team’s feedback.
