Thanks. Will this work on SmartThings Station? How do I add this update?
It works on the station, I have 2 of them working there, if you don’t have the device installed yet just look for nearby devices and the driver should be installed automatically, if you already have the devices installed I am afraid you have to delete the devices, delete the current driver and then look for nearby devices.
Thanks. When I try it to discover it is discovered as a Zigbee Thing with no trigger for routines
If I instead add a device by brand Aqara P1 presence sensor it also shows up a Zigbee Thing
I can delete the device, but I’m not sure how to delete the driver
If you click on “Driver” and then on “select driver” it let you choose another driver?
I cna now delete it, byt it offers no other drivers
Ok so, as now is official launched, that link doesn’t work anymore.
Could you share the fingerprints of your FP1 just to see why the stock drivers it isn’t installing the proper driver?
Alternatively, here is a link for a community created Edge driver that also work with the FP1: [ST Edge/Beta] Xiaomi/Aqara/Tuya zigbee sensors driver - Devices & Integrations / Community Created Device Types - SmartThings Community
I’d be happy to share the fingerprints… how do I find it?
Install the Driver “Zigbee Thing MC” from Mariano’s channel, pair the device again and make sure the driver installed is the Mariano one, if not clic on change driver and use Zigbee Thing MC (or if Zigbee Precese Sensor is available when you do this, you are done here), take a snapshot of the device showing all the info contained while using Zigbee Thing MC.
Since it’s officially launched, how do I get it?
As is officially launched you should get it automatically when scan for nearby devices while you don’t have any other driver installed to handle it, but for some reason that is not happening, that is why I asked you for your fingerprints just to see if match with the official support.
Sorry, I’m really unsure of how to send you the fingerprints.
BTW, it doesn’t show up as a supported Aqara motion sensor

See section 8 of the community FAQ on edge drivers:
So now is an Aqara Motion Sensor you are trying to add? I thought we were discussing about the Precense Sensor FP1, do you know what is exactly your device model?
I am very sorry about the wrong part number
It’s an Aqara P1 Motion Sensor

Ok, that one is not officially supported so you need to install the Xiaomi/Aqara/Tuya sensors driver that I share with you a few days ago.
First rule of home automation: “the model number matters.“
An aqara P1 motion sensor is a completely different device than an aqara FP1 human presence sensor. And there is no “Aqara P1 presence sensor.” So I’ve moved this conversation to its own thread to avoid confusion,
Which functions in the officially driver have? Is it better than edge driver?
