Hello everyone!

I’m returning to Smartthings and would like to make some suggestions for improving the app.

  1. Show a room’s favorite devices at the top of the room, like on the website my.smartthings.com.
  2. Include statistics of connected devices such as switches, thermostats and others on the home screen, just like with lights, locks and others.
  3. Show the scenes to be executed related to a room within the room, making it easier to access.
  4. Remove the limit of only 20 rooms.

You can rearrange the devices in each room by dragging them, for instance to the top row, and it will save its position and sync it with other phones / tablets.

Yes, I know! But I say have a separate space for favorites, like on the website my.smartthings.com

I’d like to add that device history should show whether the activity was coming from a manual control, external service (list service name), or a routine (list routine name) so that people can debug devices when they turn on /off unexpectedly.

@nayelyz for exposure to this thread.

There’s certainly a need for a user or member field, especially since we have locks with user management / access control.

Would be nice to see which member did what.

I’ve seen cases where users ask if we can know from where a specific event came in but we have received the feedback that it isn’t possible.
A further investigation is needed to check where a command originated from because in the Cloud logs, we can only see something like “switch on” but not what sent such command.
When we have received cases where devices behave strangely, we need to check logs from different sources to see if there’s a trace of the command, so, I think this request wouldn’t have a straightforward path.
Eitherway, I suggest you send this kind of suggestions of improvements to the app to the Customer Support team since they aren’t present in the Community.

Thank you for the response. Which steps specifically do you suggest sending the feedback? It keeps on changing every few months ;(.
