So, I’m working on replacing some fans and the simple one is proving to be difficult. I want the fan to have speed control and forward/reverse. There is no light. However, the wall switch is a simple on/off switch. so i was hoping I could control this with a wall unit, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that a wall until along wouldn’t do the trick. So now I’m thinking of just a hidden ceiling controller. But what controller can I easily get?
The second fan does have a light, but I’ve already ordered the wink “replacement parts” option that dalec built a smart app for. (Hampton Bay Zigbee Fan controller)
I’ve included photos of the fan controls. I can’t really tell what the current fan wiring is in the ceiling because it’s 20 feet in the air.
