I had some problems with my hub and various buggy things, so I asked support to reset my account and my hub. They did, and that seemed to have fixed all my problems, but I have a new one… My android presence isn’t working at all… Nothing. It always says I’m away, regardless. I’ve tried re-installi…

That describes our household’s experience–well, prior to abandoning ST’s mobile presence.

I have a Google Maps error which seems to be why mobile presence is unreliable. At first I thought it was SmartThings, but every time I open Google Maps it has me a kilometre from my home! ? ! I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, with GPS on, WiFi scanning on, Bluetooth scanning on. I’m stuck relying sole…

hi all, I’m new to smartthings, wich I just installed a couple of days ago. I got a lot of my z-wave devices working, but the presence function of my two android devices doesn’t work at all. I did configure home and both devices are visible with status “present”. I moved with my phone between 5 - 3…

There have been no new posts since Jun 27, and yet I dont see a solution posted here. My presence sensor rarely works but it does work on occasion so I know it’s conneced and the GPS shows my location correctly. What’s up? Why no new posts? Could it be that Samsung just wants to sell presence de…

What phone do you have? We have Samsung S6’s and they work faultlessly after I disabled battery optimisation. Also use Life360 with no problems.

I have a Galaxy 5 plus, Marshmallow.

Have you tried stopping battery optimisation? I don’t have a Galaxy 5 so don’t know if this can be done or not.

No, I actually havent because I have two phones and my wife’s is new, not even sure if she has bat optimizing on hers it’s a new LG phone. Both phones have to work on this hub though for this system to work at all because my away mode only triggers if both phones leave the house. I thought about d…

We use our phones for setting mode to away as well. Look into using Life360 (the free version) as said before, we use that now, (not for any particular reason) and it works well. It integrates into ST OK and it will stop you having to fiddle with your mobiles.

So this Life360 is a Family GPS tracking device and you use it to trigger your home and away modes? Seems like it would use a lot of battery to be running GPS from another app constantly. How does it integrate into SmartHub, is there a SmartApp for it?
