Same issue with presence here. Worked great before the Oreo/8.0 update.

My phone is completely up-to-date, including Play Services. Battery life is excellent, but that is due to the fact that Oreo seriously hinders apps running in the background, like SmartThings. I should be able to override that somehow and tell the OS to allow the level of access that I want.

Just fyi GP services was not updating on its own. I had to go side load it my self. Yours very well could be up to date, noting just in case it was like mine.

This is concerning because I pre-ordered a Pixel 2 XL, which should be arriving by the end of October. Hopefully an update or work around will be possible by then. This sounds like the same issues people had with IOS 11.

I have also been having many issues with presence on Oreo. I have a Pixel and have just dealt with it since the beta. Presence works about 50% of the time now when before it worked about 95%.

Can we get some feedback from the ST staff if they are already aware of this issue or more feedback/testing is needed? I would test this but I do not have a device on Oreo and my Pixel 2 XL will not be here for a couple weeks.

Fyi I noticed my GPS stuck on today so checked my version of GP Services and discovered it had reverted back to the pre oreo version. Went to update and discovered there was a new version released yesterday. Since I discovered I needed to update a couple weeks ago my phone has been pretty reliable. …

This is also not working for me. Just unboxed my Pixel 2, so I currently have both Pixels if there is anything I can test. Support team are you out there??

My wife and I both have pixels with Oreo and have removed smart things and removed and readded presence sensors and still not working also.
