Background:
V2 (2015) primary hub (2018 V3 hub online but no devices yet).
Mostly Zigbee bulbs; primarily Ikea Tradfri but also Philips Hue and others; Samsung smart plugs; many buttons and sensors.
This morning I woke up to find all my Zigbee devices offline (verified in Android app and my.smartthings.com).
My Z-Wave devices are all online and operating normally.
One Ikea LED driver that was touch linked with an Ikea button was working via the button but not via app or Alexa. As expected.
Motion sensors (not directly paired with Zigbee bulbs) are not controlling Zigbee bulbs via ‘Local’ routines.
Now the odd thing. I have a few virtual devices and they are working as expected, including successfully turning on and off Zigbee devices that are still marked offline and still not responding to the app or Alexa.
I just thought I would mention this strange behaviour before restarting my V2 hub without batteries.
p.s. The …→Driver menu entry is greyed out for all my Zigbee devices.
p.p.s. The most recent entry in the history of a Zigbee (temperature/humidity sensor) device was 01:50 GMT this morning (19th Dec).
I power cycled my hub (V2, 2015) and almost all my devices are back online. Just one annoying eWeLink ZB-SW01 that stays offline and always needs to be reconnected after any significant interruption. Will replace it with a Sonoff before too long.
Hi, @jaidank. Glad your Zigbee network is online again. For future references, when this kind of issue happens, the engineering team requires this info for the investigation:
Date and approximate time on when this happened
Submit the hub logs as soon as you notice the issue.
Thank you @nayelyz
Hopefully this was a one-off.
I have rarely had SmartThings issues that I did not cause myself; and this one was very recoverable.
But if it does happen I will capture the hub logs.
Have a Merry Christmas, Aidan
