hello everyone!
I connected the Philips Hue hub to Alexa and SmartTings, deactivated the SmartTings duplicates of the bulbs in Alexa, and left only the Hue ones.
I activated the “natural light” mode in Hue which changes the lighting mode based on the time of day by pressing the power button.
unfortunately, however, with the voice command via Alexa, it always turns on in the last mode to which the lamp was turned on!!! so maybe I find myself with soft light in the morning, or very strong light in the middle of the night!
has anyone solved it? I’ve tried a thousand times but nothing works!
Yes, but at this point after trying everything, I would like to try to bypass the problem through SmartThings. Is there any way to make the Hue Hub believe that the physical button has been pressed, even without pressing it? Create virtual buttons for Hue too? or something similar?
There is a community created edge driver that has control over the natural light scenes. You could create a virtual momentary switch in ST, since you linked Alexa and ST the virtual switch will be available to Alexa. Create a voice routine with Alexa that triggers the virtual switch and create a routine in ST using the virtual switch to trigger a natural light routine.
