Aeotec Range Extender 7 Shows Up as a Z-Wave Switch

I have tried to connect my range extender 5 times today and each time it shows up as a generic switch. I followed the directions on the Aeotec website, but nothing changes on my end. I have factory reset the device each time as well.

Here’s what I see on my end:
Device Name: switch-level
Manufacture Code: All zeros
Model: All zeros

When I try to change the driver to Z-Wave Range Extender I get the following message: “Error changing device driver to “Z-Wave Range Extender”. Ensure that the driver you are trying to change to has a valid fingerprint match with this device.”

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

The all zeroes shows that your device isn’t pairing correctly with the hub so there is no fingerprint to match a specific driver. Does your range extender have a QR code which would indicate that it supports S2 security? If so, try adding the device by scanning the QR code rather than adding by brand. If you do add by brand, you need to enter the DSK from the QR code.

Thank you! I was trying to add it by selecting from the device list.
