Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Water Sensor (DSB45) Reports Wet When It's Bone Dry

I have a pair of Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Water Sensors (DSB45). One of them is under a washing machine and seems to be working well. The other is near a water heater and on several occasions has indicated that it has become wet when it is bone dry. Not sure what to do to clear up this particular issue. Any guidance?

open it up and clean it. Look for corrosion. Maybe mouse piss.

then replace it.

It’s new and clean, both inside and out. It just seems hypersensitive.
