[Advice]Heatmiser Wifi Thermostat via JSON

Hello,

I have a heatmiser wifi thermostat which I understand isn’t physically compatible with smartthings. I have created an endpoint in the cloud which can query and update the thermostat via JSON.

Is it then possible for me to create a thermostat in smartthings where I can use this endpoint to query it and also send commands via JSON (get/post)?

If this is possible would this be created under a webservice or a smartapp?

I’m not exactly sure how close it is but the Nest Thermostat pretty much works that way. Check out the device handler for the nest from the community.

Thanks, do you have a link to this device handler? Not have much luck with the search tool.
