(2019) Does the Leviton VRCS4-M0Z work with SmartThings?

I’m seriously considering a switch to Smartthings, and I have a couple of questions.
Has anyone had any success with a Leviton VRCS4-M0Z 4 button scene controller?
I’d like to use the first button to control a kitchen light, the second button for a living room light a 3rd button to trigger an away scene, which will have these 2 lights come on near sundown and off at random times. Another button will control the existing light where the controller is going. I think this is possible from what I’ve read so far, but I don’t know the frustration level to do it.
I presently have an Insteon setup which is causing me grief and is almost 10 years old. Newer technology appears to be much easier to set up.
Thanks
Brad

I have the 2-button version of this switch. While it’s working now, I have to say that this was the single most frustrating device to adapt into SmartThings. It also gets kicked off periodically. My guess would be that the 4-button version will be even worse because at least with the 2-button version someone created a device handler. Search this group for VRCS4 and you’ll see.

Some people have used it in the past with custom code, but over the last few months several people have reported that it is either not working reliably or no longer working. More importantly, this is an EOL device and it is unlikely to work in the future. Smartthings is in the middle of a big transition: new hub, new app, new cloud platform. Since Leviton has discontinued the device, it is unlikely that there will be a full port to the new architecture.

However, there are a number of other multi button wallmount devices which could be used to do what you are describing. I think the frustration level would be much lower going with one of those.

Thanks for the heads up. I have to look into other devices.

Another question. Is there an away mode that can be setup to turn lights on at sunset + or - and then off again randomly? Say i was going away for the weekend, and want to activate this program/schedule and have it run until i get home and turn off the trigger, i assume from the app. I presently have a setup in which i press a button and the schedule runs until i come home and press the button again to deactivate the program. It doesn’t appear that there is a hard wired keypad switch that will work right now, so i assume it will be turned on and off from my phone app.
Thanks again
