@JDRoberts an eve matter smart switch appeared in my google news feed ao reading the article, the switch looks good, works with smartthings energy dashboard but nor available for awhile. The switch on the website avialable now says it only works with apple home kit but the artivle said there is no differnece between bith switches. I thought about waiting but i am also wondering if samsung will make almost all switches & outlets compatible with the energy dashboard.
No one knows for sure, but I would guess not, because if they wanted to do that, they could have already done it. They seem to be keeping a pretty tight grip on which products show up on that dashboard. 
Well ill know when i go home if im buying a switch or getting both replaced.

It’s just hard to tell until the new switch is actually released. It may end up just being the same as the current thread model, but with updated firmware out of the box, in which case, maybe the prior generation can be updated as well. I know that’s what Eve hopes, but, sometimes it’s just hard to tell until the product starts shipping.
Eve’s new Matter-equipped light switch will be a bit later to hit shelves with a target date predicted to be in the second quarter of 2024. It will also be $49.95, keeping the same price as its predecessor.

Physically, it is the same as the last model but comes with Matter out of the box. The last-generation unit will receive an over the air update.

I didnt have my boxes for yhe light switches so i took a pic of the one switch & called jasco this morning. The model & sticker list the switch as a 2017 date but i bought the switches in 2019 when i had my kitchen done. If i remmebr correctly i asked my contractor first then sent my wife to lowes to buy the switches. Well jasco is not replacing my switch unless i have a reciept, which i dont because they think i bought them in 2017, which i didnt but im not gonna argue, im just gonna buy zooz & if i can ever get an inovelli switch ill buy theirs too. Screw jasco.
