I am trying to see is possible to just have a text sent when you get a motion detection? I can turn on lights and such, but don’t see a way to set it to text me.

You can use the Notify Me When smartapp in the Marketplace.
Yes, it works well with SmartApp. I have it set up for all Windows/Door sensor too when I am away from home.
