Wiring Aeon Labs Aeotec Micro Smart Energy Switch G2 (c) into existing 3-way switches

@chucksspencer Do you have a picture of your final wiring?

any other kind of simple relay like that works with smartthings ?

Remotec zfm80…

I’m kicking myself for not taking some snap shots of the wiring so I could make up a new diagram. Unfortunately at this point, in order to make an accurate diagram I’d have to open up that switch box and pull things out a bit - and I’m pretty reluctant to do that given how incredibly hard it was to get everything wedged in there the first time.

Given it to do over again, I’m not sure I’d have chosen this microcontroller.

Funny story- the wire I’d concluded went to a “mystery medical device” turned out to be attached to the transformer for our doorbell. So. I ordered a new one of those. My wife is not amused.

Finally this device came to me, and yes it’s work on 220V. I see this device using AC-DC IC that support until 265V.

This device has energy (KWH) monitor. But, there’s no current watt information at config menu, only KWH and reset KWH.
How come the information about wattage is not there, but there’s a KWH meter ?
Is there any way to show the watt value ?

And, one more thing, what is configure tile use for ?

I have a bunch of these switches as well. There is a community device type code for the aeon smart plug with real time watts for laundry Monitor app but not for the micro switch. Maybe you can ask the members there. As for the config tile. I remember reading somewhere that mentioned it’s for setting device parameters but since it’s not as simple as just clicking button. They disabled from us. I don’t have that great of a memory so don’t quote me on that

Hi Nico,
Can you confirm if the input listed on the switch itself was “Input: AC 120V 60Hz”, but it still worked on 220v? I am trying to figure out if this device will work in India at 220v?

Yes, it’s work
I live in Indonesia that using 220 VAC

I haven’t try use high watt device, only use to drive 30 watt fan.

I leaned a lot reading this thread.

Wondering if anyone was able to install this on the other end of a 3 way where a dimmer switch was involved? I.e put it in the box with a normal switch while the other side has a dimmer.

Thanks.

So I’m new here as well and bought one of these. I opened the g2 adapter and tried to wire things appropriately, but could not figure out for the life of me where the traveler (red) is supposed to go on my g2. I have a 3 way set up (I think) and have two black wires (line and load I’m assuming), one neutral, one ground and one traveler. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if I’m only running 2 wires back to my switch after first running through the g2, then which wires should I run and where do I connect these?

Hi nico.
I live in Australia and Im facing problems to add the smart switch G2 DSC18103-ZWAU. I would appreciated if you can give me a hand with this
Thanks

I don’t really remember how to connect it. But as I can remember, it’s easy.
Try to reach support

Hi guys…I’m new to all this and on a whim bought two micro dimmers 2nd edition. I’ve looked at one of my light switches and not quite sure what should go where(I’m in Spain btw). Here is what I see of the cables:

Can anybody tell me what to do? I can’t for the life of me figure out the wiring schematics I see online.

Tagging @anon36505037 since he’s in UK and a Fabaro fanboy which is similar to Aeon.
